Twin Peaks in August?! You, sir, are quite brazen. I attempted to start it with some friends, but the opening alone compelled me to wait until autumn when it would be more effective.
The rewatching actually began back in July, but I take your meaning. Some of the mid second season stuff lends itself quite well to the summery atmosphere. And leave us not forget that I live in a part of the country now that, realistically, only "feels" like summer for about two weeks.
Digression aside, watching them again has proven to me what a masterpiece it all is. There is so much more I'm discovering this time around!
